WipeOut Run at Oriole Park at Camden Yards
Register now to participate on June 6 in this once-in-a-lifetime event! If you’re familiar with the show WipeOut, you know how crazy and fun this looks. Take a chance and participate in a 5k obstacle course containing 12 larger-than-life obstacles. This is a guaranteed good time and good laugh.
Early Bird: Wave 1 is from 8:30a.m.-10:30a.m. and the Need Sleep: Wave 2 is from 11:30a.m.-3:30p.m. There are limited spaces available, so sign up as soon as possible! Tickets are $67.

Let’s not forget about our Bird’s! The Baltimore Orioles have some great home games coming up June 9-16 against the Red Sox (June 9-11), Yankees (June 12-14), and Phillies (June 15-16). Promotions include: June 11 &16 – Alumni Autograph Series where former Orioles players will sign autographs on Eutaw Street 1 1/2 hours before the game starts. June 12-14 – OriolesREACH Food and Funds Drive where fans are asked to donate cash to Oriole Park or non-perishable food items to benefit the Maryland Food Bank.



Don’t forget to take pride in Maryland! The Chesapeake Crab & Beer Festival is being hosted at the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Maryland on June 13. This is a new tradition being brought to Baltimore, so make sure you are a part of it! The festival will have lots of crabs, beer, arts & crafts, live music, family fun, and more. Speaking of taking pride in Maryland traditions, don’t forget about the HonFest June 13-14. This is a local tradition to celebrate historic working-women of Baltimore. June 13: 11a.m.-10p.m. and June 14: 12noon-6p.m. This event will be held at W. 36th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211.

Springing forward into April events

Spring Flowers at the 1840s Plaza

April showers bring May flowers, right? Now that the weather is getting warmer, there are more April events and things to do in the Baltimore area.

Speaking of flowers, there is a Spring Flower Display & Art Exhibit now through April 12 held at The Rawlings Conservatory. Take a look at all the beautiful flowers Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, so make sure you don’t miss out! Camden Yards

For all the baseball fans (myself included), 2015 baseball season has officially begun for our Baltimore Orioles! Take pride in your city and get tickets to the upcoming games. Friday, April 10 @ 3:05 p.m. is the first home game vs the Blue Jays. Operation Orange Rallies are also starting from April 6-11. April 7, the rally is being held from 5-7 p.m. at Dempsey’s Pub & Restaurant on West Camden Street. Keep your eyes open for the various bars and restaurants participating in Operation Orange April 8 in Canton and Fells Point also!


Another outdoor activity that is family friendly is Maryland My Maryland – Lexington of 1861 Parade & Ceremony held on April 18 starting at 10 a.m. in front of Fell’s Point Recreation Pier. Take a day to explore the city’s history and connections to the Civil War and Underground Railroad!


Brigance Brigade Foundation

The Brigance Brigade Foundation 2nd Annual 5.7K Championship Run for ALS is this April 25. Run for a good cause – this foundation was created by former NFL player O.J. Brigance and his wife Chanda to support those diagnosed with ALS as well as for their families. The run begins at 9 a.m. and it is $40 per ticket.

34th Annual Baltimore Summer Antiques Show

The show attracts tens of thousands of knowledgeable collectors and respected dealers from around the world to purchase from the extensive array of merchandise offered by more than 575 prominent exhibitors, many of which are the world’s foremost experts in their respective fields. The Baltimore Summer Antiques Show is the largest indoor antiques show in the country, offering guests access to aisle after aisle of fine art, furniture, Asian art, American and European silver, jewelry, porcelain, glass, textiles, American folk art and more, ranging from the antiquities to the 20th century. In addition to exploring the more than 200,000 items on display on the show floor, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy the show’s free, public lecture series headlined by exhibiting dealers and industry experts. Another highlight of the event will be the 90-dealer Antiquarian Book Fair within the show that will feature rare books, first editions, autographs, fine manuscripts and unusual bibliographical material.

German Expressionism: A Revolutionary Spirit at the Baltimore Museum of Art
August 1st-30th, 2014

More than 35 vivid paintings, drawings, prints, watercolors, and sculpture present an overview of the revolutionary art movement that flourished in Germany during the first three decades of the 20th century. The exhibition features powerful examples by Max Beckmann, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Wassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc, and other artists associated with the two most prominent Expressionist artist groups: Die Brücke (The Bridge) and Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider), as well as several independent expressionists.The exhibition includes several of the BMA’s outstanding, rarely shown color woodcuts, as well as loans from private collections.
