We will also provide you with a complimentary breakfast made-to-order with all of your favorite food!

Stress-free getaway

Ready to buy your tickets? Here are some upcoming home games for the next few weeks:
July 27-29 Orioles vs Braves
July 30-August 2 Orioles vs Tigers

It’s not too late to book a room at the 1840s Carrollton Inn which is just a few minutes away from the stadium. We have midweek discounted rates for the Braves game, and the regular rates apply for the Tigers game.

If you aren’t convinced to spend a night (or a few nights) with us, we have recent reviews coming in from happy guests who have enjoyed their stay with us at 1840s Carrollton Inn! Let’s take a look at some of our TripAdvisor reviews:

“Came for our honeymoon”
Since we were limited on time, we decided to go to Baltimore for our honeymoon. I figured it would be better to stay at a B&B instead of a hotel. So after looking at options, the Carrollton was my #1 choice. I’m so glad I picked this place for our stay. The staff was always friendly and helpful, the food was amazing (not to mention having so many options), the surrounding area was fantastic, and it was a short walk to some of the places we went (the aquarium, an O’s game, etc). While packing to leave, we decided that we want to keep coming back, and stay in every room at least once. We highly recommend starting here if you want to visit Baltimore!

“Great stay!! In love”
The place was so clean, romantic, and full of cozy amenities. Our stay was quiet and everything we imagined and more. Great stay-cation place! It was the best gift for Father’s Day and will do it again

“Favorite Place to Stay in Baltimore”
We’ve stayed at several hotels during our son’s time at the Johns Hopkins medical campus, and the Carrollton is definite our favorite. Love the location–within walking distance of Little Italy and the Inner Harbor, and only one subway stop to the JH campus. Especially enjoy the delicious breakfasts on the outdoor patio.
If you have any questions, call us at 410-358-1840 or visit our website. We hope to see you soon at 1840s Carrollton Inn!

For dads all over Baltimore

June 16th, 2015

fathers dayFather’s Day can be tricky…whenever I ask my Dad what he wants, I always get the same response, “I don’t need anything.” For those of you like me that are struggling with what to get Dad this Father’s Day, I have a suggestion. Spend the day with Dad. Maybe spend the weekend together. I’ll give you a few things to do in Baltimore and some reasons why you should do them for Dad this Father’s Day.

oriolesBoh’s & O’s

Father’s Day weekend for the Baltimore Orioles is not being spent at Camden Yards, but you can always take Dad out to watch the game, eat some lunch, and maybe drink a few Natty Bohs (if you’re over 21 of course). With the way the weather has been the past week, it might be more enjoyable to watch the game while sitting in the air conditioning anyway!

Golf, golf, and more golf

Book your tee time at Mount Pleasant Golf Course and spend some time bonding with Dad over his favorite sport. By taking Dad golfing, not only are you bonding, but you are taking interest in one of his favorite hobbies. Maybe you’ll learn a thing or two from good ‘ole Dad. Arnold Palmer golfed here, so why wouldn’t you want to?

QGPampered by QG

Quintessential Gentleman is the all-inclusive day of fun for you and Dad. Get pampered at the spa…maybe sign Dad up to get a full-service spa treatment that includes HydraFacial or hot stone massage and then shoot some pool afterwards. If you have a suit that needs to be tailored, get that done too! The possibilities are endless. If Dad needs a relaxing day to restore his youth, this is the perfect gift!

Regardless of what you end up taking Dad to do, make sure to thank him for being your Dad!

Kickball Romance – Real Wedding Feature

June 4th, 2015

What some may call a love story, Erin and Jason call a “kickball romance.” They shared their big day with us at 1840s Plaza, and when asked what their story was, this is how Erin replied:

“When people ask, ‘How did you guys meet?,’ we tell them that we were a ‘kickball romance.’ In actuality, the first time we met was about a year before we started playing together, but it was on the Kickball League of Baltimore (KLOB) team, Ken’s Kids, where we got to know each other, both during and after games. Baltimore has played a huge role in our relationship. Our first kiss was shared after the Orioles’ opening day. Our first official date was to see a play at the Hippodrome. We moved into our first home together in Patterson Park, right next to the kickball fields where we met. Jason even proposed on top of the Brewers Hill apartment building on New Years Day with the Natty Boh Tower in the distance. We definitely wanted to represent Baltimore at our wedding and the 1840s City Lites room was just what we were looking for!”
